Anuli and Kamari's characters have completely switched
The core of their characters has remained the same since this iteration of them started (two years ago????)
Anuli - The idea of fixing yourself and overanalyzing what 'the right way to live is' (Anuli's the one character of mine where fae's grown with me the most soo... even for the core of faer character I keep changing how I describe it, because it's this messy, fluid thing??? Which is ironic considering that ANuli needs to define and categorize all faer feelings via stories.)
Kamari - to spend your entire life working towards a future where you might finally be who you want to be, only to have the work itself break you in every way imaginable.
Funnily enough, I had the arc for Anuli be self-hatred and categorizing faerself as the villain, Kamari's as obsessively wanting faer future. On paper it might work but the moment I considered switching the arcs-
It fit SOOO MUCH BETTERRR Kamari hates who fae's become and actively mourns a future fae feels fae'll never have, gaining a defeatist mentality and self-sabotaging faerself.
Anuli still categorizes faerself as a villain, but now obsessively chases the feeling of happiness, willing to fundamentally change who fae is in order to get there.
Tehcnically with Anuli I'm not at the point yet where fae fundamentally changes faerself... but it'll start in the next chapter thingy I write for faer.
I'm not ready! I've grown to enjoy writing this version of Anuli and I don't want to 'kill it off' in a way?? I'm still working out the details of exactly how Anuli will change faerself and such but... idk it'll be fun.
