"Because I like it and it's portable and I judge my writing a lot less if it's harder to change it."

"But after handwriting it, you transcribe it all?"

"Onto google docs - unfortunately - yes."

"So it's a second draft."

"Nope, nearly word-for-word. Need to keep my typing speed as fast as possible, otherwise the step takes too much brain energy and I'll get tired."

"So you spend all that time handwriting the first draft, only to type it all out all over again?"

"Yep."

"But you write on a reMarkable! Doesn't it have a convert handwriting to text feature?"

"I write notes in the margins."

"..."

"Lots of notes in the margins. Sometimes I bubble them, put in asterisks, it's a mess."

"And you download a pdf and handwrite all your edits?"

"Yep."

"... doesn't sound that time efficient."

"Oh, you poor thing. You think rewriting the same story for eight years is TIME EFFCIENT?!"
