I really want to write a story about biology

Not about humans utilizing biology, about a biological world that's rich and full of life and nuance and story and thematics. Essentially, I want to treat it like a fantasy story.

BUT IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS AND I HAVEN'T DONE IT.

I SHOULD WRITE IT.

IT'S ABOUT A CASPASE WHO HAS TO DECIDE BETWEENT THE MORALITY ENGRAINED INTO THEM (to cause apoptosis) VERSUS THE UPSTREAM MUTATION THAT OCCURED AND NOW IT'LL CAUSE MORE HARM THAN GOOD. (Every time I read an article, I find out new information that changes the underlying idea... BECAUSE OF COURSE I HAD TO GET HYPERFIXATED ON A PROTEIN THAT'S UNDER RECENT RESEARCH AND DOESN'T HAVE A TON OF CERTIANTY YET)
