Anuli wants to be a cute little slice of life that slowly succumbs to the horrors through little scenes.
Faer POV has never been so comfortable to write? And there's no metaphorical structure or anything going on... Anuli's just being Anuli and there's a cute little found family.
That and whenever Anuli faces the horrors because fae sees just exactly what is going on with Kamari.
I find those the most fun to write.
Kamari still has faer angst and an actual storyline going on where each scene needs to have a purpose
AND HOLY HERBS IF THAT DOESN'T MATCH THIER PERSONALITIES I swear they're writing this story and don't want to talk about their issues half the time.
